The Story of the Sephardic Torah Center
The Sephardic Torah Center (STC) is the first independent Sephardic institution on the Main Line. STC opened its doors in June 2023 on Shavuot and has since established itself as an epicenter of shiurim, tefillah, and a venue for smachot for the local Sephardic community and the broader Orthodox Jewish community.
It houses a beit midrash with a significantly expanding library. In September 2024 the STC joyfully welcomed its first very own Sefer Torah, dedicated by Moshe and Brooke Nissim. Our founders continue to work tirelessly to strengthen the STC through growing membership and new programs in both Hebrew and English.
The Main Line is home to a diverse and rapidly growing Jewish population, with at least 12 Orthodox synagogues, a community kollel, Orthodox schools and kosher restaurants — and STC is proud to be its Sephardic heart.
